Ready for Developer Nirvana?

Why join us

E-accent is the first Rails-only dev firm in China with 44 completed Ruby on Rails projects. With our huge code base and experienced team, we build complex enterprise applications for international clients. We don't do meetings and we have no managers.

Building stuff that really matters

Many of the Rails projects around are simple mashups for startups that fail in one year. That's just not interesting.

At E-accent, we build healthcare, finance and legislation applications for international clients. Our apps do things that matter, like planning doctor's visits. Isn't it great if your work makes a real difference?

7 years of Ruby on Rails expertise

Many Rails firms are basically rebranded PHP or Java firms, with little in-depth knowledge of Rails, working on startup projects that could just as well be done in PHP.

At E-accent, we were working in Ruby on Rails back in the days when nobody knew what Ruby on Rails was. And we do real enterprise applications, not startup stuff.

A productive work environment

Some employers nowadays offer cublice-free workplaces with Macintoshes. But in any case you are still crammed with at least 15 people in a room, and you are required to commute there.

At E-accent, we understand that productivity requires alone time and space. Our people choose when and where they work, at home or in the farthest corner of our huge office.

No meetings, no managers

Managers that do nothing else but "manage" other people's productive work, usually in endless meetings, are the nemesis of productivity.

At E-accent, there are no managers, so there is no-one to disrupt your work.

Enough about us. What about you?

About you

We are looking for die-hard web developers with at least 1 year of full-time Ruby on Rails experience. You need to be a good communicator, fluent in English, and willing to work in a distributed team.

As a web application developer, you work together with clients and designers in tools like Github, Campfire and Basecamp. A development project starts with a discussion about requirements and scope. Next, we start a Ruby on Rails MVC-style development tree, in which a designer and yourself work together. The designer mostly builds views, helpers and stylesheets, and you mostly work with models, controllers, and javascripts.

We mostly work fixed-time, which means that the delivery date is fixed, whereas the scope is subject to negotiation. You need to provide daily feedback to the designer and client. You must be able to express yourself in fluent English and explain problems and solutions in clear language.

Just complete the survey. Of course we treat all applications confidentially.
